Dr. Juan Cabanillas is an active member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the American Dental Association.
As a 28-year veteran in the field of restorative dentistry, implants, and periodontics, Dr. Cabanillas never stops pursuing perfection.
After graduating from New York University College of Dentistry with a degree of Doctor in Dental Surgery, he completed a general practice residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, where he received extensive training in oral surgery, periodontal therapy, and advanced reconstructive dentistry.
He then went on to complete his specialty training in prosthodontics at Harvard University/VA Hospital in Boston. After completing this combined program, he was awarded the first ever Honorary Mention in the 22 years of existence of this highly esteemed program. He then honed his skills over a seven-year period as an assistant clinical professor at the University of Florida College of Dentistry (Miami Dental Clinic).
During his long and prestigious career, Dr. Cabanillas has successfully performed over 400 cases of full-mouth reconstruction, placed and restored over 4,000 dental implants, and completed over 200 arches of All-on-4® procedures.
In addition to this vast experience, he is certified to perform LANAP, a periodontal treatment using a laser. This FDA-cleared procedure is transforming the field of periodontics.
Dr. Cabanillas is driven by his passion for the art and science of clinical dentistry. He is blessed with an uncommon level of skill, compassion, and caring, coupled with an unparalleled pedigree. When he is not working his magic on patients, Dr. Cabanillas can be found spending time with his wonderful wife and two children. He enjoys traveling, scuba diving, and a variety of sports, including trap and skeet shooting.
